Since Teacher wasn't even on the original UK album anyway, I wonder if just the UK version of Teacher will be included as a bonus track? I always preferred the US version by a very wide margin, myself. Hope SW remixes that one too, and they both end up on the 5.1 mix dvd. :agree:

Benefit is the first Tull album I got into back in 70/71. I would be interested in getting a nice copy of it.

PLEASE leave out the vinyl and BR exclusives...make it so we all can enjoy all the variations including the original mix on CD as well...

I don't know if something was wrong with the upload. If not, this is the first time I heard a Steven Wilson mono mix

I'm all for BR for those inclined, but I was not happy only having the original mix exclusive to BR on the Aqualung box! really sucked as it BELONGED on a CD!...vinyl should be a separate item as well...

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. If I wanted to hear the original mix of Aqualung, I have the DCC so I was all set in that department.

Someone probably decided that most fans have that precious 25th ann. remaster and it stacks up pretty nice. :uhhuh: BTW, no release date for the Benefit remix yet?

    GOOD NEWS! (sort of)

A new Ian Anderson interview has been posted here:http://somethingelsereviews.com/2013...f-jethro-tull/

The paragraph of interest for us:

NICK DERISO: What’s next in the reissue series being overseen by Steven Wilson, which has also yielded a sparkling new anniversary edition of Aqualung?
IAN ANDERSON: There are actually three waiting in the wings for release, which Steven did last year. They’re all mastered and finished, and waiting to roll. The (1970) Benefit album comes out in October. Coming next in 2014 will be (1973′s) A Passion Play and Chateau d’Isaster Tapes (originally released as Disc 1 of Nightcap in 1993). That’s according to EMI, if they are still in business — which, of course, they won’t be. The material will be with Warner Bros. by then, and presumably they will honor the commitment to release it in remastered form. It would be silly not to, because there’s a profit margin in doing it, so I can be reasonably confident those things will see the light of day.

So "Benefit" in October, followed by "A Passion Play" in 2014? Seems a bit backwards then what I might have expected, since this year is the 40th anniversary of APP, but I don't care as much when it comes out as long as it comes out! [IMG]

October? that's a long delay

If it's all mastered and finished it could be out there next month!

Anyway, who mastered 'Benefit'? I really hope it wasn't Peter Mew
