Unfortunately a flat transfer on these DVDs don't always been no compression.

The first ELO album on DVD stated flat transfer and had a lot of compression.

Famous, not infamous. The latter connotates something evil.

That's a pretty hardline approach to something that offers so much, but to each his own.

Maybe they stomped it flat during the mastering?

Sorry for my whining but I just got so disappointed when I realised this version was not Dvd-A. Maybe it will be very good anyway. Sure hope so. But I will probably save my money. We will see about the verdict on the Forum.

John Buchanan I'm just a headphone kind of fellow. Stax Sigma

Infamous is more appropriate I reckon. Where did they manage to find a second Ian to play with the band?

I am wondering whether "17" will be allowed to run its full length. Was cut in half on the anniversary box. apparently because Ian thinks its not any good (he's wrong!)

  15. Yes, the timing is shown in the link above. Full length I believe. It's a good song; a psych/60s vibe to it!

I thought "17" was a bonus track on the 2 cd Stand Up DE? It ran over 6 minutes there.

Don't know (don't own that), but it's on the tracklist for the Benefit DE as well.

I understand being upset about the lack of DVD-A, but if the TAAB DVD is anything to go by, this DVD will be very welcome in my collection.

I love what Steve Wilson has produced on DVD-A with King Crimson and the ELP discs. I am more than satisfied with what he has done with Thick as a Brick & Thick as a Brick 2. I'm sure this release will more than satisfy me again. Naysayers won't deter me. I look forward to this release BIG TIME!

I agree 100%, Wilson's involvement with the Tull reissue program is fantastic. Bring them on!

I'm also looking forward to Passion Play, which was done at the same time as this. Benefit is among my favorite Tull recordings, so this is a no-brainer.

I always thought there were two Ians. How else do you explain the flute duet on "Bourée?"

There are just some albums I must have. A 5.1 Benefit done by SW, even if it's not DVD-A, is top of the list.
