The Stockholm recording is mono. That's what I meant

Funny, I felt that way about Broadsword and the Beast. The 20 Years... boxset had bonus songs that I liked better than the album.

Of course lol. Stitch in time is one of my fave Tull songs. Crossword is a top track too. King Henry, Kelpie, Blues instrumental I really enjoy :D

Mods can change the title of this thread when Wilson announces the release date

The Heavy Horses book also mentions an early take of 4WD and an instrumental contemporary take of Sweet Dream.

Isn't the short version of "Stitch" just an edit of the long version? There wouldn't be much point in preparing new mixes of both versions. The short version is contained in the long version.

Sadly, that interview is much older than the recent one where Wilson said he probably won't have time to remix Stormwatch.

Great musicianship as always but who is the drummer on the track, it’s really good.

Of course. Think of how much greater Jethro Tull's legacy could have been if Progger had been overseeing the track selection. It was one missed opportunity after another with Ian Anderson calling the shots.

I want to believe Wilson will do Stormwatch... but I'm not convinced it will come to pass...

No thank you. I find with few exceptions that I rarely go back to the bonus tracks. Most did not make the original albums for a reason. They were either flawed in some way or did not fit the overall mood of the album.

I was being facetious there. I actually think that Tull had a lot of great outtakes, more than most of their peers, but there aren't too many cases where I think Anderson made the wrong call by leaving them off.

I’d say 3 songs per album on average

Great shots! Thanks for sharing. I took quite a few pictures myself at several Tull shows. But I had lousy seats for Stormwatch and didn’t bother to bring the camera. Post more if you have them.

Oh thanks! I also took photos of the Songs From the Wood" tour. Seems all of my Tull photography fails to meet my hopes at the time. I took hundreds of other bands - am in general more satisfied with those other shots. I've been scanning slides for several weeks and thinking of posting some rock stuff here as well as adding to my Flickr album.

Here is a short sample of concert photography I have done:

(For some reason my name came out as the link)

    Jeff Turkali

Only 15 pictures, I plan on adding 20 more in the coming weeks.

Haven’t heard anything but I’m sure Ian will wait a bit until Steve is ready :D

I'd just like an announcement on the This Was set first TBH before I go on speculating about the one after that......that's as far as I like to wish my life away.

Stormwatch could easily be a year from now before we see it......

I don't think anything will be said about Stormwatch before This Was is released.

I take that to mean there's a storm worth watching for, even if it's in the long-term forecast?
