NO WAY MAN!!! Then you'd be able to extract the biometric information and use Jimmy's iPay account everywhere you shop!!! Can't have that!

Autograph collector scum is not particular to LA.
At the Brian Wilson signing everyone I talked to was a fan. I'm sure there were people there with money in mind but they were the minority.
These were not those guys you see at airports and stage doors with a fist full of pictures and a sharpie at the ready.
Who cares if those ebay people put some money in their pockets, that's the only way a lot of people have to get this stuff.

Brian would sign the Pet Sound Box Set that you had purchased and one other item which was very kind of him and endeared him even more to his fans.
Ole Les Paul would sign anything ... a happy to be there, friendly, awesome guy.

It better be an all analog stamper. Unlike the digital stamps he made the new LPs with.

Yes he was, I met him a few times on those tours. He signed my Page/Plant Pensacola flyer and also my freinds 100 dollar bill - true story!

I'm just curious - do you feel like your book is devalued simply because of them putting all of these exclusive photographs into a mass market book? Personally, I never considered buying a Genesis book because of the signature inside. Those unique photos were a lot more meaningful!

They did this with Mick Rock's Killer Queen - they didn't use all of the photos, and of course, the presentation wasn't the same, but good heavens, that annoyed the crap out of me.

I purchased the book because I'm a fan of Jimmy Page. The fact that he signed it was a bonus. Most likely it will increase in value, due to the limited aspect, but I didn't buy it for the sole purpose of an investment. I purchased the book because at the time, I had the money to spare, and I wanted to see and read about Page. Will these new books devalue the 2500 signed editions? probably not.

As a long time collector of books, signed, limited and otherwise I can tell you Page signing this edition will have no affect on the price of the limited edition.
1st edition's value stay the same no matter how many 2nd, 3rd, etc editions are printed.
Limited editions prices from these smaller publishing houses are never affected by mass published editions.
Collectors can rest easy even if Page were to sign and add a lipstick impression to these new ones.

(I'm never sure about that effect/affect thing, I should probably look it up)

The live version of She Just Satisfies with the violin bow solo was epic.

That is just the funniest thing. Wow, I got my book stamped by Jimmy Page! The concept seemed goofy and seeing the picture just confirms it. Silly.

  21. I thought he would have had the stamper hanging from a guitar strap slung down low.
