Well, it sounds like he has a good title for the album, at least.

This is the interesting part to me:

Page outlined some other Led Zeppelin “products” that could arrive, saying: “I can’t give the game away, but there’s a recording that’s another multi-track that we’ll release,” he revealed. “It’s so different to all the other things that are out there... There’s a lot of stuff to come out, a number of releases. I’d like to say that they’ll be coming out over the next 10 years. There’s more to come for sure.”

His comments about the supposed album were taken from a 2015 interview. Gimme a break.

Mustering can take a long time apparently.

gregorya I approve of this message

I think it's a fairly safe bet that any solo album is over the hill and far away...

Maybe he can ask Peter Gabriel for some advice on how to speed up his process. ;)

    "the cheque's in the post"

"I'll be seen playing live next year"

Seriously, enjoy the 50th anniversary stuff he's compiling when it comes out this year, but solo? Don't hold your breath.

I would love to hear Page do an all acoustic album.

He's been finished for a long time and there's nothing wrong with that. He already massively contributed to music in general. He has nothing left to prove and moreover, he more than likely can't play anymore anyway.

This. I wish he'd stop saying it, as he doesn't need to release anything new imo. His and Zeppelin's legacy to rock and roll is as vast as a distant view of the Himalayas. Many bands would kill to just have an "In the Light" or "Battle of Evermore" in their set, and those aren't even among the better known songs in the catalogue.

Jimmy Page's musical career is OVER.

His curating career, however, is ongoing.

My guess is he is recording some overdubs to correct mistakes for some achieve release, but I hope I'm wrong!

So long as he doesn't have to play it live he could tinker and edit away his rustiness & sloppiness in the studio. I'd be up for hearing whatever he can muster. The man is bound to have some decent riffs and chord progressions down on numerous tapes.
