I like Rodgers better as well but not in the Firm.

I think Plant satisfied that urge with the O-2 stuff. How many times can you relive the Zeppelin experience and not end up a stark raving lunatic? Plant doesn't want to live in that place anymore.

  5. You could say that about The Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Status Quo... and they're all still going. Plant just has an attitude when it comes to LZ. The other members of LZ are up for it as well. I suppose he's entitled to that attitude. It's just a shame he feels like that.

Page has nothing to be ashamed of or feel the need to prove himself.

He was the mastermind behind Led Zeppelin. It's his legacy. His baby.

If the man never plays another note, it's just fine. God bless you, Pagey. Thanks for the amazing music.

But are Plant's vocal cords up to it? They're not.

  10. I think Jimmy particularly wanted to do a few shows with the rest of the band and Jason Bonham as well (2007 line-up) to promote the recent reissues. You know what it's like... a band release or re-release an album and go on a long or short tour to support it.

I agree. Going out and playing Led Zeppelin songs is kind of stupid. Why would he want to do that? He's got too much money and too little time.

  12. How come he's still singing? He was on TV about two weeks ago at the BBC in London performing with his new band (Robert Plant And The Sensational Space Shifters), and I think they did one LZ number, but can't remember which one.

I'll let Jimmy use a name I've been squatting on for some time: Geezer & The Tonemonkeys.

They should do a remix on that album. I wasn't too keen of the sound they were going for at the time.

What's Jim's relationship with Roger Daltrey? I'll bet Roger is ready for a change after 50 years with an unmedicated Townshend.

Except he does play Zep songs! A ton of them in his set lists...

Playing Zep songs and going out as Led Zeppelin are very different things.

I'm happy he's making plans--that's the important part. He's still looking forward, after a number of years of setting the past on a firm, final foundation. Job done.

Whether or not he plays in his garage or MSG, doesn't matter. Who knows who he will find on the way? As long as he is in good health and is still playing, something will happen. Whether or not that goes public is anybody's guess. I would not be surprised if he slips into someone's session and starts asking questions again, just like he did in 1968...
