I know. I read it wrong, too. I guess we're the wishful thinkers the article refers to!

If they expect this to be enough to compel me to invest in a Bluray player, I hope they're not holding their breath.

If it's truly uncompressed I may buy it .

Here, I think the use of "uncompressed" means lossless versus lossy file compression and not dynamic range compression.

Only worth it to me if there is indeed a lossless quad mix included which appears unlikely. P.S. If it were up to me I would change the thread title as there is no indication whatsoever that this title will include 4.0.

Yeah, maybe a Gort could change the title.

I know that the Stones GRR was available in this format but I only found it through Amazon UK. Does anyone else know where these type of discs are sold in the US? I didn't see it on Acoustic Sounds, Music Direct, etc.
Too bad they're not using the remixed version. Much more clarity on that one than on the original mix.

What audio format is bluray in? I ask because I wonder if these are things you can play through a DAC via digital out.

Good to see Lennon make it to HFPA but again disappointed at the lack of content on offer (especially for $30). They could/should have added the 2000 remix at least (I wonder if the whole album was also remixed in 5.1 around that time but unissued).

The 2010 CD sounds great IMO and so there's hope for this to be the best version of Imagine out there.

UM needs to think bit outside the box if they wish HFPA for mainstream success.

Most (all?) come standard with PCM, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD.

Heard an 8-track tape of it back in the 70's.

For those who have heard it, is there much difference in the quad mix?

Probably the worst mixed quad release. What were they thinking?

I have the quad mix on the Aussie LP,but don't have a quad decoder to play it with.

Would this be sourced from original masters or a file?

  25. Do I really need a 30th copy ?
