Looking forward to some new music from Mr. Mayer.

 

I enjoyed The Search for Everything a whole lot; it’s probably my favorite Mayer album since Continuum. I’ll definitely be checking this out.

There's the cover. First single "Last Train Home' coming on Friday.

 

I'm a tad dissapointed they are putting 3 previously released songs on this lp, Carry Me Away and most likely New Light and I Guess I just Feel Like. Carry Me Away is a reworked version from the first released one per Don Was. They are all great songs, but would have been nice to hear 10 new ones, not 6-7. Let's also hope that "You I Miss bridge snippet that John leaked appears on this album - very's smooth 80's sounding.

 

Prob my guiltiest of pleasures is JM. Always enjoyed his music, although not a huge fan of the blues stuff he does. It just seems forced to me. But when he writes his tunes u can feel the generation he is coming from. If it wasn’t for “your body is a wonderland” I think a lot more people would be into him. Heart of life, sucker, stop this train etc are classics if u ask me! I’ll be watching out for this one!

 

I'm glad they'll be on there because I have heard them, but haven't purchased them.

 

Born and Raised is my favorite.

Interview was w Don Was the producer. The “Zine” was a promotional 4-5 page mini newspaper mag thingy … people posted readable version online

Man I dunno, "New Light" absolutely nails the vibe of that cover art, makes sense to include it.

 

I suppose it will be good to get those three songs on actual physical form ( lp or cd). And they are good songs. Was just being greedy for even more songs …

Is there a track listing somewhere that indicates this will only be 10 songs? Did I miss that?

 

On the off-chance that @cwsiggy is wrong in describing this as a troll question, I'll be the one to take it at face value and say that it's one of JM's signature guitars, a PRS Silver Sky.

 

When the album showed up in my Facebook feed, I thought "Why is there a Billy Squier pic on John Mayer's feed?"
