Johnny Cash - American Records "Unearthed" Vinyl Box Set. 3rd November 2017 Release Date

Hello fellow music lovers I am trying to expand my Johnny Cash vinyl collection and want to add his 2003 album Unearthed to my collection (My favourite album). However it was never released as a vinyl but was wondering if it would be a good idea to use one of these custom vinyl websites I've stumbled across or is this not recommended?

My opinion is, not recommended. That won't sound better than your CD.

 

Exactly. And with the currently vinyl revival it is just a question of time until we will get more stuff on vinyl from the American era. Even My Mother's Hymn Book has not been released on vinyl yet.

That box will be tempting. Kind of pricey but if it's done as well as the American Recordings box it should be great.

 

Nice box, but as others in this thread have said, I would love to see the My Mother's Hymnbook released as a stand-alone on vinyl set, on its own. It would have the old timey vinyl mojo, for sure. Would actually make a great RSD item.

 

I will just ask a Gort to update this thread title to include vinyl release in the title... no sense in starting a whole new thread!

They should have dropped the greatest hits disc... we’ve now gone from one useless CD to two useless LPs. Would have cut at least $40 off the price. Who is buying this that doesn’t already have the other six on LP???

 

I'd like to see "My Mother's Hymnbook" as a stand-alone LP as I have the other six American Recordings LPs.
