Anybody checked out this movie yet? If you don't have kids, rent one and go anyway. Jon Voight will slay you!
I LOVED this movie! I took my kids last weekend (we saw it at the UA theater on Colorado Blvd. You live in Denver, you been there? Wonderful theater). Easily Voight's best roll in ages. All the kids in that theater had read the book and knew exactly what was going on. I didn't, but it was so smart, funny and just weird that I was hooked right from the start. Almost 2-hours long and my kids' eyes didn't leave the screen. Can't wait to own the DVD. Dan C
Unusual these days, but we saw it as a family (usually my 14yo daughter is embarassed to be seen with us at the local movie theater where her friends go and it's rare we can all agree on one flick). The kids had read the book and explained it to my wife and I. We had a great time and the 12 yo wants to go back and see it again. Other recent movies we've all enjoyed together: Catch Me if You Can w/Tom Hanks and Leonardo My BF Greek Wedding Shrek
