Do you relize??? All of Steve's Work Is PURE GOLD!...Whether it's SILVER, 24K GOLD...I find myself lately mulling over my extensive DCC collection and in comparing all the other versions I own, Steve's (Re)Mastering old/new is ALWAYS the winner. As my ears age, I find that I get ear fatigue much sooner than later. We -are- a lucky bunch indeed!

    Yup! Same here.

Badly mastered cds just kill me in no time at all.

Steve's work, and that of a precious few other mastering engineers, I can listen to for hours.

    Thanks Steve!

Well, after we're all toothless, bald, and abandoned, we'll have our DCC's, R&T's, Sundazed, MCA's, and an old boom box to keep us company in the old folks' home of our family's choice....provided the nurses and other scoundrels don't steal 'em while we're sleeping. I intend to enjoy them NOW, to the fullest, before anything further and untoward happens.
    Just the realist/fatalist in me.

Not that Steve needs another 'Fan Club' thread; I think by now he's figured out how we feel about him, and why we're here so often.

My 'Hoffman Wing' of the CD collection is finally taking shape, of course....I'm doing some serious label segregating, but SH gets his own shelf, as does Little Walter, Ace UK, MFSL, the WEA targets....all I have to do is find out what I did with some of them after the CD-R mix burns...

    Ed,

I've been trying to follow your recent posts on this and other threads, and I'm sure they're all well thought out expositions, chockfull of interesting facts and trivia, informed opinions, and keen personal observations....but your new avatar is just too darned distracting!

My choice of pic, Mr. Zoo's rendering. for my(perfecto)taste in ladies and photos, but most of all a :righton:  to Jeff for the presentation that so impresses you, and soon, the forum masses.

Nice try, though, Jim, at hijacking this thread;)

For my 1000th post, I just want to say that Steve's work is truly like no other's. I only wish that he would be allowed to remaster the "BIG" catalogs(Beatles, Stones, Who, etc).

Thanks, Steve, for your contributions to the music world!

Steve, thanks! I thought I had all the cds I "wanted" now I find that the "wants" become "needs" searching out your work.
