Just saw Breakfast at Tiffany's for the first time

    ...An odd point about BAT (sort of spoiler): The plot element of Holly being revealed to have a had a small-town marriage that she forgot to get rid of before taking up her new life in NYC recurs in another Capote writing - one of the published chapters of his unfinished novel " Answered Prayers ", I believe the story " La Cote Basque ". I believe a real-world scandal in the N.Y. society set of the post-WWII years was the inspiration for Capote's use of this plot development.

    I've seen Breakfast At Tiffany's on the big screen and home video.

    It's just okay.

    It's not really much of a "rewatch" movie. Based on the box office numbers from 1961...somewhere between #10-15 for the year and one #1 weekend...it wasn't that beloved in 1961 either. It was a hit, but not a HUGE hit.

    Things that its got going for it:

    Moon River

    It looks great on the screen.

    Audrey Hepburn's classic look.
