Kamaal Williams 'The Return' (Formerly Yussef Kamaal)

Go easy on me as this is the first thread I have started after posting for the first time today despite being a long time lurker of the site.

Just wanted to post about the new Kamaal Williams album 'The Return' as it is due to be released in just over a week now (25th May) and one that I'm seriously looking forward to. I do recall seeing the previous album, 'Black Focus' then under the name Yussef Kamaal, mentioned in the Jazz/fusion thread and receiving lots of praise from a number of forum members so lets spread the love and open the album up to some new ears.

A superb live act and one that may well pass many folks by. Given the previews and singles so far this is shaping up to be just as great as the 'Black Focus' album released back in 2016.

According to the interview on today's episode of Bandcamp Weekly the new album was recorded in his mothers front room for "about £30"!

As I say, go easy on me as I'm bound to make a few slip-ups along the way and possibly put some people out with not posting in the right place/correct thread etc.! This isn't going to be to everyone's taste but I'm here to learn as well as share!

Black Focus was a superb release, loving what I have heard from the new one too. It's a shame they split and went their separate ways but the bonus is now that we will be getting another project from Yussef Dayes also so double the content!

I accidentally ordered the clear and the black vinyl. OOPS. Both arrived today. My feelings aren't hurt.
