What's odd to me is that there's still never been one British female "rock" artist coming even close to the songwriting genius and creative genius of Bush at her best. Even with her lack of output since the early 90s, she's still untouchable really.

Actually, she's had a few albums released since "Red Shoes" and they are Director's Cut, Aerial, 50 Words For Snow. but those are very sporadic because her work takes longer to put together than most artists. She is very untouchable and you are right that there isn't anybody else in popular music like Kate at her best.

Any etcetera there mate? I thought "Aerial" and "50 Words" was it - but wonderful albums they are.

Director's Cut was in between Aerial and 50 Words For Snow. She's a brilliant artist.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Bush_discography has her discography

Director's Cut is not new material though. I was specifically commenting on your use of "etc." implying there were more than what you listed.

I had since edited my post and yes, Aerial and 50 Words are it for new material since Red Shoes.

I've been listening to here "The Kick Inside" quite a bit lately. The black triangle sounds very nice.

I have the EMI US CD of The Kick Inside and that is a great sounding disc as well and one of her best albums.

Much appreciated. I'm such a stickler for accuracy when it comes to the very talented Ms. Bush. ;)

There is "Queen Elizabeth II" which the media often refers as the Queen of England

American Media do, but they are incorrect.

She is queen of the UNITED KINGDOM, which includes England, but also Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

But then again it is well known that Americans are unable to distinguish between England and the rest of the United Kingdom! I learned that through living in the US for 4 years and working at the BRITISH (not English) Embassy.

For the record I am Scottish, not English!

If she's queen of the United Kingdom, and the United Kingdom includes England, she's the queen of England. She's also queen of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and (according to Wikipedia) another twelve island states, but we don't need to mention Tuvalu in order to know whom we're talking about.

I've been a fan of Kate's since day one, but I gotta say after looking at those pics in the op's link that I hate to see her going the "Linda Ronstadt/Ann Wilson route", letting her weight balloon like that. Get some exercise and lay off those chocolates, Kate! :tsk:

Nice to see her get some well-deserved recognition for her fine body of work, though.
