Gethappy!! has convinced me that this box is essential. Still I"m confused although I've skimmed through this thread. Amazon has this being released on December 15th. Have you all bought the British version on Amazon UK? And is that version different than what will be released in the US in 2 weeks?

Apparently at least one technical glitch has been fixed for the US release - and we won't be getting the live 45 single that accompanied the UK version.

No! Ear bleeding does not come to mind with this box. Let's stop with the misinformation

Wow ! I've asked to Legacy recording France if they could provide a new cd regarding the "Two sisters" glitch, and here's their answer :
"We are very sorry for this problem. Legacy Recordings gives special care to provide quality boxsets , unfortunately we are never safe from a production error .
Replacement CDs are currently being manufactured.
Thank you for your contact information so we can send you a copy as soon as possible.
    kind regards
    Legacy Recordings team"

So ask yours at : [email protected] !

    Hope it will work.

Will this set be limited like The Kinks in Mono or plentiful like The Kinks at The BBC?

    Anyone know?

May I ask for more comments about the mastering? Did Mr. Sandoval change his style for this one? Is it warmer, less bright?

  10. Just ordered my copy. The positive comments in this thread have convinced me to buy this material one more time, after several compilations, the Picture Book boxed set, a French Pye hits LP and the mono/stereo DE's. Hopefully I'll be just as happy as the other fans in this thread.

You won't be disappointed, in spite a few minor flaws.

I just ordered one too from Deep Discount. Seems like a steal at $51.

Hopefully less compressed than the Deluxe Edition as well.

Being "Ear-bleeding" is subjective of course, but the box set is definitely brighter than the deluxes/mono box.

A quick comparison between any track/mix on the Anthology box and the same track/mix on the Deluxe editions will clearly show that.

Basically, if you found the deluxes too bright, you're really not going to like the mastering on the box.

    No. It's track 13 on disc 3

...or not. I'm not hearing the click on Waterloo Sunset: The Very Best of The Kinks & Ray Davies, which by the way gets my vote for best-sounding modern (post-PRT) digital Kinks kompilation.

Can you or someone else confirm exactly where in the song it is?
I heard a small "choppy" motion over the words "washing machine".......at about 15 seconds. That was it.......very quick.
At 10 seconds, it sounded fine.
