I bought on old console at an estate sale, it is motorola and has an asian look to it.
Their had been a tv in it before, I am going to do something similar for my 12 year old daughter who has my sansui receiver and some ken wood speakers, she loves the vintage.

Bob made a set for mine including a band pass addition for the titanium mid. He said they were the first he'd made with the band pass. The sound is much smoother and more distinct with more sparkle in the top end. The mids sound very nice. He doesn't sell a titanium mid, you have to get them from Klipsch. I can't recall which speaker diaphragm matches up with the KLF-20 mid range. I do recall that I had to tell the guy at Klipsch that I had blown them up before he'd sell them to me. Whatever works! The crossovers from Crites were well worth every penny and so were the titanium diaphragms.

I moved my heresy's tonight to a different location and put them up on top of some other speakers , I am hearing things I never heard out of them, and they sound much better.

Yep, you have to get them up off the floor. Got mine on a concrete blocks turned on end (16" high). Nice and solid, they sound great.

2nd that. I found a guy who made me some custom stands and getting them off the floor really helped. I have a SVS sub with them so any bass loss is no big deal.

I've been using these for over five years now. There's no need for a subwoofer to say the least.

FWIW, after reading some threads about Cornwall placement, I moved them away from my walls(about 3 ft) today. The reasoning was better soundstage, and believe it or not better bass response. I've got a fairly small listening space, so I'm about 10 feet from the speakers. Can't move them further out in the room, but the difference is really quite startling. I do have much better bass response(perhaps it's more accurate, or better balanced? Don't know but it's certainly more pronounced) and the soundstage has equally improved. One of the reasons I got the Corns was because of their reputation for easy placement and they could be shoved back against a wall and/or in corners(hence, their name). The wife particularly liked that. But after doing quite a bit of reading it seems that there are other options which can really help enhance their overall performance. Those with them might want to try it out, particularly if you have a larger space.

Quartets here, bought new I think in the late 80's? These were my first real speakers & I still love them. They are relegated to my bedroom now & I listen to them every night. I'll never forget going into the stereo store auditioning and picking these out.

Was going to post a pic but can't figure how to do it from my iPad. Do I have to put it on a hosting site?
