I recently read that Van Morrison has signed to Blue Note Records (looking for a little Norah magic, no doubt). His last CD was on Universal (they sure did an Ace job of promoting him). The one before it (I believe) was on Point Blank/Virgin.

    That got me to wondering...
Which artist has had the longest string of consecutive albums that each were released on a different record label?????

Probably not the longest, but one I remember off the top of my head: Peter Gabriel's first four solo LPs were on four different labels in the U.S. In order: Atco; Atlantic; Mercury; Geffen.
