Thanks to @tmtomh and @thoutah I have some wonderful sounding Rough Trade The Smiths CDs.

It's all down to this forum that I now have great sounding discs. :D

The Vic Anesisi remasters of Jefferson Airplane's Bark and Thirty Seconds Over Winterland put out by Iconoclast. Don't think I would have known about them otherwise. Mostly positive reviews here also got me to order Van Morrison's Duets, despite a lot of trepidation.

Secret Machines - Now Here Is Nowhere. I'd never heard of them, but took a chance that it would be as good as several forum members had said.

Oh, gosh, probably Ian McCulloch's Candleland (again) yesterday evening. Must've purged my original copy many moons ago. The aggregate amount of dollars this place has been responsible for my dropping over the years is truly flabbergasting.

Whoops, misread the thread title - I purchased Steve's mastering of Reach the Beach quite a while ago; but I did buy his mastering of Who's Next recently (actually I bought the Canadian version a while ago, but bought the "real" Japan-for-US version fairly recently.

Or am I still not understanding the reason for your question?

I've recently been buying from digging more into my own whims...

But my all te favorite music forum find was Mickey Newbury's "looks like rain"(maybe 2 yrs ago). I'd never heard of him before, but given one of those --forgotten in time type posts, I gave a sample spin and bought...that lead to me buying the 8cd/10 album mickey Newbury collection and now I've bought a few more...he was a genius and seems more forgotten in time

I bought the late 80's Physical Graffiti CD mastered by Barry Damient on ebay. Haven't received it yet but look forward to comparing it against the 94 remasters.

A good part of my collection, especially Jazz, the last one was Art Blakey's Free For All simply because Hutlock enthused about it so much.
