Last Beatles Photo Ever

According to the internet this is the last photo ever taken of The Beatles. I know this was taken during the last photo session but I’m curious as to how it is known for sure that it was the last shot taken that day. I’ve only seen it in black and white and I’ve never seen it in high quality. With such a significant photo I was wondering if anyone here has seen it in color or in high quality B&W.

 

What's interesting about this photo is that Paul's wearing a different jacket from the blue suit jacket he had on for all the outdoor pictures from that session.

George was absent at that particular meeting.

I've seen this photo a million times.
I'm afraid of heights so I always hoped there was a wide ledge or something a few feet behind Ringo and Paul otherwise one slip...

 

He was the walrus said John.

 

Arms widespread like Magical Mystery Tour and it would’ve been all over.

What’s crazy (and this is probably well known here, but heck it bears repeating), is that this photo shoot took place 7 years to the day of them being filmed in the Cavern playing ‘Some Other Guy’, which was the first time they were visually captured with Ringo... talk about serendipity.., it’s almost too perfect, if it was fiction you’d think it far too convenient to be credible.. but it happened... and just think what they achieved during those 7 spins around the sun together....

 

John's whole look in that photoshoot bothers me on so many levels.

 

He’s definitely on a different level from Paul and Ringo anyway.....

 

Haha, and George if you look closely.

 

I can't help but find it sad how there always seemed to be one Beatle missing. Even if they never made music together again, I wish they could've at least hung out together again.

 

Why on earth would that “bother” you??

 

I think John looks great, chomping at the bit and ready to start his new life and solo career.

 

Ready to start the 70s, anyway!

 

John was going through what seems like dietary neglect and narcotic abuse. Kind of unfortunate if you compare how he looked seven years prior to this photo-shoot to the footage of them playing “Some Other Guy” at The Cavern Club. Incredible how much all four of them had changed.

 

Because with the outfit and his beard he just looks strange. Don't worry, I'm not losing any sleep over it.
