It would take me seven years just to grow a beard like John's...quite how he found time to do other stuff too, I'll never know...

This isn't ANYONE'S finest moment.

But, yeah, John looks the worst.

 

Information like this always gives me a tingle down my spine; it is definitely like they were 'meant to be', and their career makes such a fascinating story arc that it is almost unbelievable that it was actually real.

 

Ringo was having a great hair day for that last photo shoot.

Fantastic hair.

George looks pretty skinny too.
Think nowadays we’re not used to skinny....

 

That was intentional. In one of his last interviews, he said that meant he had made it through all that and put his earlier issues into perspective.

 

I've said this before I wonder why Linda didn't take photos at the January1970 session.

 

I agree 100%. One of the reasons I very seldom participate in those “what if” threads is that the Beatles story is perfect just the way it is. Every...single...bit of it.

 

I love most of those photos, too. Especially this one:

 

never realized that the singing brother from black crowes was emulating the later version so much with regards his look!

This is kinda mindblowing.

 

My current screensaver. I love it because it was part of their last ever photoshoot...but also because it very effectively illustrates how they had just become other people...they weren't a gang anymore, like they were in 63. It's bittersweet...

 

I wonder if those sessions were supposed to be semi-clandestine because the album was allegedly finished a year earlier without overdubs etc.

 

But still no John at that session.

 

I love John's Spanish belt or whatever it was. He always had great, interesting fashion accessories, like that weird thing he was wearing around his neck in a lot of 1968 pictures. By the next year he'd switched it up to his leather "utility belt"! It looks like kind of a forerunner of the fanny pack, but in much better taste!

 

Somehow, that picture of a young Mr. French always confused people into thinking it was a photo of Paul.

 

That must have been where he hid his stash.

 

She might have, and the photos just have not been revealed.

It's an unlikely scenario, but possible.

 

I think it was like a man purse where he could carry a lot of stuff that Yoko might demand.
