The Woman In the Window (1944) - Not bad, but not really a noir IMHO.

    Identity Thief - Only OK

The ending takes it out of noir territory.

    Not what I expected

    The Impossible
    Very good

    Dark Shadows
Better than expected. It's a good thing they injected humour into the story

Just watched this. Not bad. It was like the Amityville horror but finally done right. I never understood the hype for Amityville when it came out. The worlds most boring horror flick.

It could of used a few more teaspoons of humour.

I watched All The President's Men for the first time in about 20 years. It's a terrific film but I don't need to watch it too often. I lived through the real thing, after all.

Didn't realize it was a Blair Witch type deal with radiation crazed zombies.
I thought it was literally about a trip into Chernobyl :hide:

    Nope, didn't particularly like it.

Finally finished watching Les Miserables tonight.
A lot of effort obviously went into this but I'm sorry, I found it tedious.

I was pleasantly surprised on Depp's performance...a relief from with his Jack Sparrow!

I wasn't surprised that he was good at his part. I don't think that the script was up to Johnny's abilities. There were a few too many dead spots between the funny parts.

I was surprised that he did not use his Jack Sparrow...

The Jagged Edge (1985) - This one looses a little something after you know if he did or didn't do it, but I hadn't seen it since back in the day and I enjoyed it.

The subject matter of this movie is grim, as is the bleak look of the city (turns out it's New Orleans).
Brad Pitt was fine, James Gandolfini was very good playing a mobster (again).

Dogma. Just like the first time I've seen it I don't know what to make of it. And just that feeling made sure I didn't feel any attachement to the characters or the story....

  24. The Colony. Awful, awful movie.

I wouldn't call it awful, but I've seen worse...
