It was great getting blu rays a couple of years ago,the novelty has worn off.
Get the odd HBO series' Game Of Thrones etc.. HD picture is worth the big modern production stuff re; BD.

After 5 years here, it still hasn't " worn off." I've just started the Steven Spielberg Director's Collection 1971-1997, and Duel looks and sounds like never before, and I watched it as a TV movie in 1971. Next week, it's Batman, the 1966 television series.

Across 110th Street with Anthony Quinn and Yaphet Kotto was last night's 70's, racial tension, police and mob action thriller. Bobby Wommack does the music. It's a relic kind of film. You couldn't make this film now. Quinn produced it. He worked so hard to suppourt all those wives and children!

Yeah, political correctness pretty much killed anything remotely like these films. In many ways I think the 70s were the most "adult" in the entire history of film. We've been on a PG-13 slide since the 80s.

Tonight we watched The Grand Budapest Hotel. It dragged on a bit too long, but was mostly interesting and quirky entertaining.
