Last night's double feature started with The Nutty Professor with Jerry Lewis. I liked it far more when I was a kid as it turned out. Then, it was Mr. Smith Goes To Washington which has me craving Bullworth...

    Pretty intense but very good.
Cool to rediscover Julianne Nicholson, hadn't seen her in years.
And quite a contrast seeing Meryl Streep after watching a very young version of her in The Deerhunter recently

    I love Julianne Moore

Yet I have never heard of this movie.
Guess I need to buck up for CC Blu-ray

Last night's double feature started with Automata with Antonio Banderas. I liked it. The world needs more sci-fi that's not de facto, science-violence. My second feature was a western, The Missouri Breaks. I like Marlon Brando's crazy performance in it as the regulator that stinks of lilac... ;)

The other night on TCM they had Erroll Flynn's daughter or granddaughter as a special guest. They spotlighted a few of his films too.
I'd seen (and own) his Robin Hood movie, but watched parts of that.

Objective, Burma!--war film where troops parachute in to blow up a Japanese base and communications depot, and get trapped on island. Erroll Flynn plays their commander, pretty good action film.

The Hurt Locker--couldn't watch this the first couple of times due to the motion camera things, and probably my mood, but it's actually a pretty good film.

The Lego Movie--I couldn't enjoy this one. I didn't find much humor in it.

One of the better films I saw recently was a doc, which you can watch on YT until they take it down: Pretty incredible documentary on Aaron Swartz a internet/techie prodigy, who was charged by the govt for hacking, although was never proven. The movie made me angry that our govt can be so stupid and inept at times, but I guess that's nothing new...

I liked his Chinese hat and outfit too. This film could of easily been adapted into a comedy.
