Wind River--it was okay, maybe a 3.5 or 3.75--a little too slow in the pacing for me. Almost got bored.

Melville's 'Le Samourai'. Perhaps Alain Delon's archteypal performance? In theory (given their rigorously deliberate pacing and dialogue that is Melville's idea of hard boiled filtered through French) his films should be boring and stilted. But, just the opposite.

Over the past two days I've watched 3 of my recently arrived UHD-BD's. The Prestige looked considerably better than the BD did and sounded way, way better. I found the dialog on the LPMC BD difficult to discern. This Atmos mix solved that. Men In Black 3 was nice and the audio was superior. A Few good Men looked great. The Atmos audio was a nice touch but was hardly needed.

Last night I watched The Hanging Tree with Gary Cooper. I liked it. It's certainly not a typical western.

"Sherlock, Jr." (Blu-Ray) (Eureka box set)

Keaton in top form, with the bonus of being able to see old downtown LA in many scenes.

Keaton's classics ('Sherlock, Jr./The General/Steamboat Bill, Jr.') look phenomenal in the 3-disc Eureka set.
Photo-chemical restoration, 4K transfer, stabilization applied...the films belie their age.

I watched the cage fighting flick, Warrior, on UHD-BD. It looked really great. The movie was rather average. I also viewed all 4 episodes of Dinosaur Planet.

It--remake of the Steven King book. It was good, I really enjoyed it.

America Beauty--rewatch, worthwhile, poetic, sometimes perhaps pretentious, but yeah, says a lot.

Horns--Joe Hill, Steven Kings son, adapted from the book. Done pretty well.
