I watched Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher Never Go Back on UHD-BD. It's action packed....what's next for Jack? Maybe he should kick John Wick's butt...? ;)

I've always liked Cruise's take on Reacher. I know there is a lot of posters on various forums who bitch about the physical differences as described in the books. Ignore the idiots. This is a role Cruise does well.

    "Stalker" (Tarkovsky) Criterion BR:

Mysterious, slow, intriguing and beautiful...very much capable of screwing with your mind if you watch it alone at night (which I did.)
Never has decay looked so alluring...there are images in this film that are unforgettable.

I'm not so sure. Maybe we'll see 'em duel in a film with a title like Jack And John Went Over The Hill....??? ;)

I watched Ghostbusters II on UHD-BD last night. It wasn't as grainy as I thought it might be. The grain was very fine and you had to look for it. The Atmos audio seemed a minor improvement over older editions.

Read the first book on the train a few weeks ago... just wanted something short, I could read quick. No time for 2 more books, but the first 2 movies are done really well. Gonna watch 3 and 4 this week too.

It was a double feature for me. I liked Woody Harrelson in LBJ. He seemed just as proficient at vulgarity as the actual Lyndon.... ;) The second feature was Night Train To Munich....pretty good for a 1940 action film.

I had a return engagement with The Social Network. I got so inspired by the watch that today I'm contemplating starting my own network, Buttbook... ;)

Irreversible 2002 French exploitation film. I'd probably say thumbs down, just because of the manipulation factor, but I did like some of the arty direction (but it did wear out fast), also I really didn't care for any of the characters.
