Yeah, just couldn't get into this one...60's hippy nonsense and not in the good way. Even at 75 minutes it seemed like 4 hours.

thinking back on those days it was utter nonsense...Rock bands making millions traveling in limos and preaching revolution...Jefferson Airplane leading the pack of phonies...followed by Crosby, Stills, Nash and YOUNG...Mr. Lionel Pono...

Enemy--Actually it's the third movie I've seen this year with Jake Gyllenhaal in it and I enjoyed all three of them on different levels: Prisoners, Nightcrawler, and now Enemy. Enemy was the most perplexing of the three, though I think I got a good idea of what was going on in it. It's a movie for those that enjoy movies that get you to think during and afterwards. It reminded me of some other films as I watched it like maybe Unbreakable or something like Jacob's Ladder. If you also like David Lynch or David Cronenberg, you might like it.

Oh, I also caught some anime (which I don't watch a lot of) on the Toon Channel over the weekend. It was called Evangelion 1.11 & Evangelion 2.22. Supposedly del Toro was influenced by these anime films and created Pacific Rim. I can see the influence.

Or..or, could be looked at as possible career annihilation. Grace and Co. had no idea of the heights or depths their art and politics could take them. From Croz being fired from the Byrds for his Monterey Pop/JFK rant to LennOno Peace happenings ( and we know how that eventually went...) Many of these musicians put a lot on the line for their views.
Imagine if the Pop Divas of today singing about drone strikes or police brutality...where is the protest?

I'd love to read the hate mail that the 60's recieved back then

IIRC this site sez No Poli/Sci so.......quit it!

Mon amour es correcto, si, oui...? ;) Do you love moonshine. I do. That's why this morning's flick was Thunder Road. The blasted DVD didn't even have Robert Mitchum's hit song for an extra! That's some really sour mash! You got to be drunk to watch this movie. ;)
