I hope you got Starship Troopers on UHD. It's impressive, IMO.
No not yet watched my Superbit DVD
I watched Allied on UHD-BD. It was an OK movie, rather average. After Allied I needed something funny. Woody Allen's Bananas fit the bill.
The National Tree...
Star Trek II Wrath of Khan SE DVD, waiting for the 4K UHD to come out.
I watched the original Ghostbusters on UHD-BD last night. It was quite grainy in spots. It could probably use a bit of grain reduction in a hand full of scenes. The Atmos Audio came off well.
OK.I will name 6;
1.Immortal Beloved-Gary Oldman
2.The Desert Rats-James Mason&Richard Burton
3.Black Gunn-Jim Brown
4.Bustin Loose-Richard Pryor
6.Performance-Mick Jagger & James Fox
Did you forget what thread you're on? That sounds like a response to some other thread. I like those movies except for Performance which I have not seen.
Them, the giant ant movie was tonight's film. I'll sleep tonight with a can of Raid under my pillow....
Hopefully the can is a big one
did you see the BD of THEM!? is it cropped as they say?...
I was thinking about that. I'm pretty sure that my LD is Academy Ratio. I was thinking that the BD looked about 1:66-1. I just looked it up, IMDB says the original ratio was 1.75-1.
there was outrage that the BD was severely cropped on the web...guess it's a matter of opinion. I always watched it in FF since I was a kid and I have the FF DVD...
The Fate Of The Furious. Never seen any of this franchise.
that was pretty good...
It's a 1954 movie and when it was in the theaters, it was probably displayed in a variety of aspect ratios from 1.33-1 to 1.85-1, depending on the equipment at a given cinema.
“Lonesome Dove” (widescreen Blu Ray; the miniseries was obviously broadcast in the 4:3 aspect ratio but it was filmed — and was previewed in a theater for industry types — in the widescreen format)
“Band Of Brothers” Blu Ray (watched it this time with the pop-up video commentary by the actual surviving members of Easy Company)
yes, how did the BR look compared to the DVD? which aspect ratio looked best?
I never had a DVD of it. I have the Laserdisc. I'm fine with the BD. IMDB says 1.75-1 is the proper aspect. I was guessing it was 1.66-1 until I looked it up. The BD looks good.
I watched my childhood friend David Keith in White Of The Eye last night. It's an OK, rather average film.
I found it fairly interesting. Secret primordal insanity. Keith did good in the role.
It's a Donald Cammell film (one of, four?) All worth viewing at least twice.
Well, it's a lot better than Tennessee Buck! I was put off a bit off by how poorly shot some of the scenes looked. I wish there could of been a bit more twisty ending. I just found it rather average other than Keith being in it.
Separate names with a comma.
