Continued from here:
Had to watch 'Australia' last night. Ok not on DVD but what a mess of a movie.
Pointless green screen shots, bad CGI effects, poor editing and worst of all 90 minutes longer than it needed to be.
my wife agrees with you she really did not like this and she's a fan of the genre...
I find Robert DeNiro looks uncomfortable and a bit out of place in many of his roles over the last few years.
Or maybe we are just used to seeing him play tough guys and psychos.
He was good in this one as a widower trying to grapple with the relationships between him and his children following the loss of his wife.
Very low key but we enjoyed it.
interesting I felt the same exact way!
Kung Fu Panda 2; quite nice!
And I think it's a quite political movie (China-Tibet) too? Or am I seeing things?
The Lincoln Lawyer - really enjoyed this one, very nice twist.
The Roommate - avoid! Insipid.
which way does it swing? i'd imagine the studios wouldn't want to force the Tibet issue given the size of the Chinese economy.
yes indeed..we loved it. great casting as well.
In Session 1983
Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan
Intense funny performance from Rainn Wilson, maple leafes Ellen Page give's good "cute".
Also staring Liv Tyler + Kevin Bacon.
Listed as 2010..but I just saw it in the theatre the other night.
Was it popular in the U.S. ?
Stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson & Billy Bob Thornton
another one for "the lincoln lawyer" a very entertaining film.
The Way Out, not bad. The scenery looked good
Well, as I saw it it was an old 'culture' of sorts of pandas, quite peaceful being overpowered by an agressive emperor who uses his power to conquer and destroy. Maybe I made that connectionbecause of the oriental atmosphere and graphics; themes like these are anywhere in movies, but once I sensed it, I thought it was quite obvious....
Alien on Blu-ray. Still gives me the chills.
The Demon 1979
Director: Yoshitaro Nomura
Actors: Shima Iwashita, Ken Ogata, Mayumi Ogawa, Hiroki Iwase, Eimei Esumi
Source Code...enjoyed it.
Netflix streamed "Chasing Sleep" tonight. Not for everyone. I liked it though.
anyone else see Source Code?...we were very impressed with this movie!
Katherine Heigl played the same character as usual, but she looked great
Catherine O'Hara was very funny too.
Story got a bit stupid in then end.
Rango not for young children, one of the best video and audio presentations on BR so far
Extras ( first series) 2005
Patrick Stewart kills me with his " ...on the grass " line.
AC/DC Live in river Plate
Not bad, better than 2 and 3 but not as good as First Blood.
