Last night's film classic was Things Are Tough All Over with Cheech and Chong. Hair-peas, the murder of a Datsun, la fi-fi's, Las Vegas, and Rip Taylor, this flick has it all.

It was. A good flick that I hadn't heard anything about except that a trailer played for it on another blu-ray we rented.

I watched The Big Country on BD last night. I found out that no matter how big the wild west was, it wasn't big enough. The screen was hardly big enough for all the stars...Burl Ives, Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons, Chuck Connors, and Charles Bickford. It's an excellent film even if it's a bit long-winded....2:46 .

Last night's BD was The Rocketeer. Bill Campbell, the rocket boy, is the weak link that kept this flare from going solar, IMO. The rest of the cast is so good...Paul Sorvino, Jennifer Connolley, Timothy Dalton, Terry O'Quinn, and Alan Arkin... that the movie doesn't fall flat...

Good movie, a bit like Gattaca in some ways.

Tim Robbins is not one of my favorites but he's fine here.
    Really like Samantha Morton.
