My Atmos double feature last night was Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Gravity....WOW!
Last night's double feature started with a re-run of Terminator Genisys to hear it in Dolby Atmos. I was impressed! My second feature was True Lies on D-Theater tape. Lots of Aw-nold last night.
'71. Pretty intense movie.
No Man of Her Own (1950). Good film noir starring Barbara Stanwyck.
Jurassic Park...in the mood for some T-Rex!
The X-Files: Season 2
Last night: Mr. Lucky (1943) - Cary Grant and Laraine Day
Tonight: Mr. Deeds Goes To Town (1936) - Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur
The Postman Always Rings Twice... The Nicholson/Lange version. A rather quirky choice, but for some reason it appeals to me.
Ivan's Childhood (1962)
Great martial arts movie.
Last night's double feature started with The Martian. "...I'm the greatest botanist on the planet..." I really liked it but what an ugly movie. With it's muted colo-uuu-r palette, the scenes on earth look bleaker than those on the Martian landscape. Another gripe, in the credits it said "Dolby Atmos in selected theaters". The BD came with 7.1 DTS Master and I just got Atmos. It could of had Atmos and the folks without Atmos would of gotten 7.1 Dolby True.
My second feature was The Gunman with Sean Penn. It was O.K. but no great shakes.
Once a Thief - noir from 1965
Jurassic Park-The Lost World.
A Lady Takes A Chance (1943) - Jean Arthur and John Wayne
The Ant Bully...
In Cold Blood(Criterion)
V for Vendetta.
3D this year.
