Oh, I've listened to it. PLENTY. ;) more than anyone person probably should, unless they were writing a comprehensive history of Stones recordings or something.o_O

    :p
But Bridges has two things redeeming about it that the other two don't : more interesting songs/direction- its then modern flourishes have simply aged better.

And it's got balls. Some snarl. Which doesn't sound neatly as cartoonist as say, "Fight" and/or "One Hit To the Body" do against the dated 80s synthetic production. Add in the fratured state of the Stones vs the band that recorded and toured behind Voodoo Lounge then basically went right into the studio, in Stonestime, anyway...

    ROFL good one. :righton:
Oh, mine is part of that 71-05 box set - I'm totally not selling that bad boy.:edthumbs:

However, it's also got the sampling and looping that I don't like.

    LOVE IT.

It works for them on Might As Well Get Juiced and Thief in the Night.

Not so much on Saint Of Me, which works better as the straight ahead rocker it became live.

    Fun album.

Of course my least fave Stones LP is Exile... owned it numerous times and in numerous formats since 1980 and it still leaves me cold... of course, I'm a UK Aftermath/Brian Jones guy...

I love Emotional Rescue, too. I think it's underrated.

I voted for Dirty Work, but...Satanic Majesties is actually a much harder record to get through start to finish, but does have two absolutely brilliant tracks on side 2. Dirty Work is just crap all the way through until the Keith ballad (and even that is a half-arsed recording), but at least it's consistent crap?

While it has a couple of good tunes, there is also stuff on Dirty Work that sounds like Mick has replaced everyone with studio musicians. Some of it just doesn't even sound remotely like the Stones to me.

Steve Jordan on drums, Charlie was in rehab...and that was KEITH'S call.

It's really a New Barbs record, with Mick Jagger cameo vocals throughout.

It's not really a Stones album at all...

As a Stones fan, I simply love them ALL.

Except the 2 "basted stepchilds", DW and SW :D

Ya know, in almost thirty years of listening to Dirty Work I've never really looked at it that way- good point, though.

Not sure wish of these is my least favorite, but SATANIC MAJESTIES is easily my favorite of these albums.
