Leaving turntable cue in the "up" position

Oh right, of course. I was thinking of a turntable that isn't running.

 

A dustcover would not fix the issue as the cat can jump on it and the vibration would still cause the arm to move.

I would suggest leaving the cue up and using the holding device everytime you do not use the table.

When leaving for holiday also remove the cart.
