    BTW - In case you thought I was being snobbish about the original discs... I did a level-matched A/B of each track of the new remasters against my Diaments.

    LZ1 - I prefer the Diament (but it was close).

    LZ2 - I prefer the new remasters on most tracks. For a few, I prefered the bigger softer bass of the Diament.

    LZ3 - remaster all the way. The level of extra clarity... you know in Blade Runner when Deckard uses the computer to move into photos looking for clues? Suddenly, Bonzo's drums transformed from a picture into 3D .

  2. That's not the point. Scratched is not acceptable. if it is to you, it isn't to most. Just being playable doesn't cut it. Otherwise, the record companies are cheating their customers. Do your job, not some 'perception' excuse.
