The footage, as it's been described, would be nice to see and it's nice to have real confirmation of it's existence but 20 mins of footage, with a lot being back stage, is rather underwhelming in my book. Multi tracked audio, or indeed even a decent soundboard of the show would be much better.

2:05 and 2:19 in the official Zep WLL promo video from 1997 had glimpses of what I always thought was this footage. Outdoor off stage footage where RP and JP had beards.

;)Jimi Page is in the midsts of assembling a comprehensive multi disc/vinyl super deluxe boxset documenting led Zeppelin in concert similar to sets by Bob Dylan,Pink Floyd,& The Grateful Dead.

  8. Indeed, he's dubbing in all his guitar parts as we speak with Robert and JPJ due in the coming weeks to do their part, everything has to perfect!

  9. Very interesting, so for some clarity:
    apparently there is film,
    and in color,
but a lot of it is of the band backstage,
and what is of the band playing live was shot poorly lit, possibly in the dark, so it has to be fixed
Plus there is a complicated chain of ownership that has to be worked out

My all time favorite LZ photo. They almost look like anti-rock stars.

Lets change this thread to the Zep fan gif page. I'll start.[IMG] Btw, I played a similar ax like that at guitar center, man that thing was heavy, I wonder how Jimmy endured the weight during a concert?

Here's my "half glass empty" take on this.
It's great to know some footage still exists but at the same time, it's sad to think that only 20-30 minutes worth (mostly backstage) is all that survives.
It's a shame that they didn't hold onto everything they had, foreseeing technological advances that may have made the footage useable, as is indeed the case now.

It certainly looks like Bath footage to me. Those outfits are unmistakable.

Correction, it's from the July 1970 off stage Germany footage.
