Yeah Amazon was doing a "pre-order two months in advance and we will get them to you two months after release" deal. At least in Canada.

Beautiful. A lot of stuff to hear, read, and look at. Overwhelming.

Sounds like you both are talking about the same thing. Only one person is assuming what Jimmy Page said was without any mastering moves.

When this forum was young, people went off the deep end with talk of "flat transfers" being the best, only because Steve had said that he liked to hear some things flat, and that once in a great while, he would come across a tape that sounded great flat, in his opinion. Doug Sclar likes to hear flat tapes too so he can hear what was mixed, but also so he can massage them himself if he wants.
