I have compared my IV 2014 to my Marino & Sidmore copy & it sounds much better. My previous LP was a 1970s copy (pressed on germany ) and sounded ok but the new LP is much better

thanks.i was interested in the comparison between the new reissue +the original US AT/GP IV'S I have.
if not that much difference in sound quality I might pass on this new reissue.the piros originals sound pretty good to me!

My guess would be the 40th anniversary of its original release date: 24 February.

Just a question, Black Dog and Stairway to Heaven have a recording date of 5 December 1970.
Were there any overdubs in 1971?

I seem to be having some trouble tracking "The Ocean" on vinyl. It seems like I'm getting some mild Inner Groove Distortion. No problems on the "working mix" version, just the actual studio version. Anyone else hearing any problems?

Lonson I'm in the kitchen with the Tombstone Blues

Houses cd spinning. This is my favorite Zep and it sounds SO DAMNED GOOD!

As mentioned above, JPJ is well-presented and all aspects of the mastering are just what I would want them to be. Kudos!

Check out previously posted spectral comparisons of Stairway To Heaven tracks taken respectively from Sidore, Marino & Davis CD masterings (Sidore version has polarity reversed, BTW). ;)

I like Led Zeppelin. He's cool. His vinyls are especially dope.

Those recolored lithos are amateurish nonsense a 10-year old could do on the computer.

I was asking about and commenting on the two-CD deluxe editions. The U.S. versions do not have protective sleeves, but the Japanese versions do. I thought it was said here that the European versions do as well.

No scratches here on both of the deluxe edition CD titles. Unlike the last batch, which did have several scratched discs out of the 6.

I bought 2cd versions of the first three from amazon.de and they certainly don't have any protective sleeves for the cds (wish they would!). Are you talking about the super deluxes?

IV Bonus disc is subtle, but very interesting. To see how Page head the music and changed the slightest part in many cases shows his amazing attention to detail that made the final product above reproach. Cool stuff and very revealing. Going to California on the companion disc is worth the cost alone for me! Gorgeous!!!

These would be NUMBERED recolored lithos, however... Only one step removed from a genuine Page stamp, really :)

For decades I have regretted giving away my original LP's of III and HOTH.

Now I am glad I did. I may have missed these remasters.

Sonically superior, visually stunning and 'feel' more subtantial than the originals.

Well done all the way down the line of production for the people who worked on these releases.

I felt 13 again while the store clerk pulled HOTH from the shipping box on release date and I scooped it. They didn't even have time to put the price sticker on it. Cool.
