I wish him a full recovery, he seems to be a great guy. Has anyone here met him?

I met him once at a Trek convention, chatted with him for a few minutes, just as nice as you'd expect. I hope he's okay.

Nimoy was great on Fringe... even when played by the lovely Anna Torv. :D

Hey - 84 years old is a good run by anybody's standards. Neither of my parents made it that far, and they didn't smoke. Just sayin.

  11. My great-grandfather died at the age of 97, born in 1895 and died in 1992. Smoked every day since 1915, and was only under a doctor's care, during the last years of his life, for an erectile disorder.

He died on the thrown like Elvis.

The thing is, we all have to go: Nemoy, me, you. Big deal. He's lived plenty long and prospered.

Nobody gets out of this life, alive.

Enjoyed him immensely in the original Star Trek series, and the Star Trek movies he was in. Hope he fully recovers.

BTW, it is always a great idea to stop smoking. Though you probably won't recover your original lung capacity, you will prolong your life by quitting smoking. It is never too late to stop a bad habit, smoking included. Ask a pulmonologist if you have doubts.
