What a fantastic ad that was...

I remember seeing him on a program - maybe 15 years ago - and he was going on about this "watch"-type thing he had that was counting down the days of his life. I don't believe he showed it on the program, but he said something about it being calculated just for him, with an estimate of how many days (or months?) he had left. It was very unusual. I tried to find the clip online years after the fact but was never successful. Anyone?

I hope he made it as far as his device predicted.

The people he touched, and the hopes of possibility, his major roll inspired. The irrevokable impression he mde on our world...

    He remains...pure energy.

Yeah, we're all getting on. :(

I saw a film clip earlier, and although it wasn't dated, I got the impression it was not very old. He was distinguished looking, as well as an icon.

    Thanks, Mr Spock.

  15. Great shot of Leonard as one of the very best Columbo villains.

For those of us who visit the Mugar Auditorium at the Boston Museum of Science, Leonard's introduction to the cinema will be a bit sad now that he has past. Leonard Nimoy grew up in what was Boston's West End. Now his old neighborhood is almost completely leveled, but he recorded a nice introduction for the Mugar Omni Theater which is located between the West End and Cambridge ("He grew up 3 blocks from here").

    A true Icon,
and if you don't like smoking keep it to you self, it's not illegal, immoral or fatting.

RIP. By coincidence, I was watching the episode Spock's Brain last night (not the best choice, I know), and now this bit of dialogue is eerie in retrospect.

    After Spock's brain is removed:

    Kirk: Was he dead?
McCoy: He was worse than dead!

RIP Mr. Nimoy. I remember him in Star Trek of course. But also in the Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Columbo, In Search Of, and Fringe plus countless other television appearances. One of my favorites.

Last time I checked, death was worse than any of those 3 things. And what IS "fatting" anyway?

Such sad news. I loved his portrayal of Spock and watching Star Trek gave me a great deal of joy when I was a kid.
