I keep hearing that the Let It Be CD will be out in October without the Phil Spector overdubs. Will the movie be out at the same time?

You would think APPLE would do something like that. However, look how long it took them to issue the Anthology CD's, Videos and Book.

On his current tour, Ringo has been asked about this several times. Sometimes he says October, sometimes he says November. Neil Aspinall has said by the end of the year. The CD was finished over a year ago, and Ringo was quoted as saying that it sounded "fabulous". The DVD was close to completion this past spring when the raw film audio tracks were recovered from hoarders in the Netherlands, and they are now being/have been used to improve the sound quality of the mono film footage. It may well be finished, and waiting to be scheduled for the factory.
Incidentally, the hoarders had the chance to sell the tapes back to Apple (from whom they were stolen) during two years of furtive negotiations. No word on what Apple was offering, but far less than the $100,000 (or so)they were holding out for. I've heard it was something like $10,000, not a bad price for something you don't legally own, but Apple lost patience and went to the authorities, and these "skilled negotiators" have gotten nothing, lost their treasure, and face criminal charges (not to mention legal costs). Smooth.
