10 Things I Have Actually Heard Said, As If They Are Supposed To Be Negatives?

    1. The artist is re-releasing their catalogue again.
    2. Why is the artist releasing these expensive super-deluxe boxes?
    3. All the songs are just about women, having sex, or having a good time.
    4. The artist's music is in a TV commercial.
    5. Why is the artist writing with outside writers?
    6. The whole song is just three chords, that's it.
    7. Why a fresh new remix of "album X"?
    8. The album might be great, or popular, but it's still just "studio trickery".
    9. The artist is using a gimmick.
    10. The album has too many radio-friendly ballads.

And this isn't even a complete list! Then again, maybe I just live in "The Twilight Zone"? :faint:

Thank you! While those songs probably are top ten for me in many ways, I was stating it as just "ten favorites" of mine from childhood. I purposely typed very quickly without too much though or order of preference. Artists as you see is not even mentioned. Something interesting, that post has more "likes" than about any other in this thread.

Fun little group of hit songs, very special to me.

It’s hard to leave anyone out. Fogerty’s creative streak from 68-70 is pretty astonishing.

Interesting. I've been to tons of shows by myself, but the artist I've probably seen the most (other than James Taylor) is Amy Grant, and I don't remember ever going by myself to see her. She's one artist (along w/JT) that friends, girlfriends and my wife have always wanted to see with me.

I have seen Amy with other people on at least two occasions. But I've seen her four times on my own. Just one of those things.
I made a rule a few years ago that I didn't want to go to concerts by myself anymore. It's just too expensive and not worth it anymore. Since I don't really have any friends to go to concerts with, that means I don't go to concerts anymore.

Top 10 Songs to listen to while in love

1.) David Bowie - Somebody Up There Likes Me
    2.) Leonard Cohen - Suzanne
3.) Dire Straits - Love Over Gold
4.) Genesis - Follow You Follow Me
5.) Genesis - Duke (the entire album works for me ;) )

7.) Deep Purple - Woman From Tokyo
8.) Kate Bush - The Sensual World
9.) Phil Collins - Take Me Home
10.) Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

It's not necessarily the lyrical content of those songs that make me dig them in certain moments, rather the general feeling of the melody.
