Have not heard the LB version....

It has from day 1 sounded like a FM hit single imo. Same goes for LB’s “Love Runs Deeper”

Love Runs Deeper would have been a monster hit in 1978. To me it's as good a song as Go Your Own Way and has better solos.

Apparently Lindsey was answering a bunch of questions on Twitter recently. Paraphrasing the questions - here's Lindsey's answers.

Q: Any reason only one Law and Order track features?

A: "As for only 1 Law And Order track on the new compilation, that album was made in response to FM having prohibited the kind of experimentation I’d initiated on Tusk, and because of that, much of the material on Law And Order just felt a bit camp for this new compilation." - Lindsey Buckingham on Twitter

Q: Any plans to remaster and reissue the Warner’s-era solo albums?

A: "No plan to remaster solo albums, but I’ll keep you posted!" - Lindsey Buckingham on Twitter

    Cheers,
    Paul

He had a support in Portland - I think Lindsey went on around 8:30 and finished around 10:15

there was an opening act, singer-songwriter type with just acoustic guitar that lasted about 40 min. i'm not sure if he's just local hire or part of the tour.
he sounded pleasant enough but went on little long...then again, that's what the bar is there for

Lindsey sounded great last night....really surprised by how strong his vocal was, certainly not what one would expect from 69 year old. go see it :righton:

Yes, he was on fire last night.
Maybe because his family was in the audience.
And it being a hometown show.
Well worth seeing if you are on the fence.

  10. It's the "Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie" version.

  11. Is there any reason why there's no programme to purchase at his concerts on this latest tour? I was very disappointed.

Waiting for Lindsey to take the stage here San Diego! Super excited! FYI ... they’re selling autographed copies of the new compilation at the show. Single disc is $25 ... three disc set is $40.

I thought the same thing about "Did You Miss Me" -- it could have hit the Top Ten any time between 1978 and 1984.

The three-disc offer sounds good to me.

Have you heard Christine's vocals on the LB/CM version? I haven't.

  19. It's the "Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie" version, believe me. Lindsey sang lead vocals on this track anyway.

I have both versions. I think the latter has just been remixed slightly. I'm guessing Lindsey didn't re-recorded his vocals, but I'm not 100% sure.

I believe you, I'm just saying I don't think Christine is on either one.

I doubt Christine is on any of Lindsey's songs on that album. It's not so much an album they made together as it is five of his songs interspersed with five songs of him producing her.

  24. Lindsey being a producer on all the Fleetwood Mac albums he appeared on needs to be made more well known. Stevie's FM songs and Christine's FM songs would not be the songs we know today if it wasn't for Lindsey's production, and may not have even had been hits without him. He knows what's write and wrong when producing.

I've heard the way Rhiannon and Gypsy were originally written and they're as different as chalk and cheese compared to the end product.

  25. Exactly, so Christine's vocals weren't present anyway, even on the latter version. The version from "Buckingham Christine McVie" and the Lindsey Buckingham "Solo Anthology" are both 3:47.

The version on iTunes as a bonus track for "Seeds We Sow" (Lindsey Buckingham's 2011 solo album) is 3:33. I have both.
