Linear Power Supply Recommended Pro-Ject Tube Box DS?

I just purchased a discontinued Tube Box DS by Project, new, from a seller in Germany. It will arrive in the weeks to come. I read in this forum that a linear outboard power supply (18v 1A,) like this one 18V 1A Linear Power Supply is recommended over the included power supply. I would like to hear what the membership has to say...is the included power supply noisy, and is this something that will make a world of difference in my vinyl listening? They cost $138 plus $25 shipping for a total of $163.

The more revealing that your system is, the more likely it will be to benefit from an LPS upgrade on a component. The converse is true as well.

 

What did you end up purchasing? Also, have you experimented with some other tubes?
