Title says it all. List the next 10 random songs on your streaming or whatever randomization program you're using. Then share how you feel about the songs. Easy peasy. Have fun!
    I'll start:
    1. Driftwood- The Moody Blues I've loved this song since I first heard it, the echoes of longing, the quite despair, it all works for me. Beautiful song.
    2. Drivin' On 9 - The Breeders I'm late to this party, having just discovered this song in the past year or so but it's a wonderful song about drivin' and escaping.
    3. Drop The Pilot - Joan Armatrading Don't know why but I've really dug this song since I saw the video on very early Mtv. Extremely catchy tune. Great groove.
    4. Drunken Lullabies - Flogging Molly Great celtic-punk from one of that genres leaders. If this song doesn't pump you up you may be dead.
    5. Dyslexic Heart - Paul Westerberg Superb song by the ex-Replacements frontman which gave us hope for his solo career. Hopes that were way overblown as it turned out, but hey, this song is great at least.
    6. E=MC2 - Big Audio Dynamite I loved this song from the first time I heard it. Way better than The Clash without Mick Jones. He showed he could make immediate music using the sounds of the day. Incredible song.
    7. Early Morning Wake Up Call - The Hives
Not a huge fan of this bad but this is a great story song with lots of garage rock music behind it. I really love this song.
    8. Einstein On The Beach (For An Eggman)
One of the best Counting Crows songs. Poppy yet still alternative, great verses and an even better chorus. Just a terrific tune all round.
    9. El Caminos In The West - Grandaddy
A tragically overlooked band for the most part but they had a bunch of outstanding songs such as this one. They should be way more popular.
    10. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town - Pearl Jam One of my top 10 Pearl Jam songs. Great narrative, great narrative, superb vocals. A top 5 Pearl Jam track.

    1. Penguin in Bondage - Frank Zappa.
From 'Roxy and Elsewhere', not one of my favourite Mothers tracks but a perfectly entertaining listen.

    2. Lost - Frank Ocean.
From 'Channel Orange'; fine track from a fine album.

    3. Walk Like a Giant - Neil Young.
From 'Psychedelic Pill', one of the few latter day Neil albums I own. What can I say: it's good, it's a bit long, it's Neil, he plays the same guitar solo he's been playing since 1969. ;)

    4. La Guitaristic House Organisation - Rinôçérôse.
French 90s dance/rock instrumental. First heard this on a freebie from the Guardian newspaper and then got it on a compilation album in a charity shop.

    5. Heart Attack [Snakehips remix feat. Owl Eyes] - Flight Facilities.
From a 'Majestic Casual' compilation album, great dance pop.

    6. Vivaldi Concerto for Two Mandolini in G: I. Allegro.
From the 'Inspector Morse' soundtrack album which I bought mainly for the theme music, but it also has some great classical pieces such as this too.

    7. Warm Leatherette - Grace Jones.
From the 'Private Life' compilation. Dare I say Grace's discofied version is an improvement on the original version by the Normal?

    8. Which Way to America? - Living Colour.
Oh yes, this rocks; from the great 'Vivid' album, which as it happens I bought in America, in New York in 1989.

    9. You Still Believe in Me - Beach Boys.
From 'Pet Sounds' of course; probably quite a long way down my list of favourite BB songs, but still real good, obviously.

    10. Could You Be Loved? - Bob Marley and the Wailers.
Not a huge Marley fan, to be honest, this is one of the few tracks I ripped from Mrs KG's 'One Love: Best of' compilation.

Fair warning, I'm constantly switching stuff on and off my Ipod so might seem a little schizophenic...
    1. Godhead - Nitzer Ebb
From the recent Ebbhead reissue. I've been cranking these reissues up in the car a lot lately, great driving music (although I much prefer their earlier tracks.)
    2. Anything That's Rock n Roll - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
From the Playback box set. Honestly, don't think I've listened to this in a while, Tom Petty's more of a summertime thing for me.
    3. Spinning The Wheel - George Michael
From the Older album. Now this is more like it, a lovely track on a superb album.
    4. Han - Virginia
From her album Fierce For The Night. Haven't heard this one in a while either. This is a terrific album, incidentally.
    5. Guns In The Sky (Kick Ass Remix) - INXS
From the Kick 30th anniversary reissue. Meh, this track never really did it for me.
    6. Come Ye Disconsolate - Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway
From their first album together. Lovely stuff...
    7. The Deep - Global Communication
From the 76:14 bonus disc Singles & Bonus Tracks. I might need herbal refreshments for this one...
    8. Between Worlds - Johnny Jewel
From the Windswept album compiling music from the Twin Peaks reboot. This one too...
    9. Fall - Daft Punk
From the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. And this one...feels like there's a theme here.
    10. Let Me Hear It From You [Single Version Mono] - Sly & The Family Stone
One of the bonus tracks on the reissue of A Whole New Thing. Now this is more like it. Nice way to end this mini playlist.

It might be interesting to see how many songs people are randomizing over. For me I'm using a list of 7,594 songs (1 song from each CD I own + some 45's).

    1.Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over / That's What I Call Love [Don't Dream It's Over 45]
Off to a good start. I always associate the title song with the end of the world due to it's use in The Stand miniseres (Thanks Stephen King!).

2.Robert Cray Band - Poor Johnny [Please Don't Feed The Musicians - Music In The Zoo Volume One]
Had to look up what album this was from since it's on a compilation. I kinda lost track of Robert's career over the years; I guess I should stream his more recent output....

3.Kid Rock - The Upside [Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast]
Kinda like a poor man's Beastie Boys rapping over a sample of Diana Ross's Upside Down. O the joys of never deleting anything in your collection.

4.Vanilla Ice - Satisfaction (Studio Version) [Vanilla Ice - Extremely Live]
I'm starting to think maybe this was a bad idea. Another rap over the guitar riff for I Can't Get No (Satisfaction). I have a soft spot for BAD cover versions.

5.Genesis - Old Medley: Dance on a Volcano/ Lamb Lies Down on Broadway/The Musical Box/Firth of Fifth / I Know What I Like... [Live: The Way We Walk, Vol. 2 - The Longs]
Normally not a fan of medleys but in this case it works. Nice 90's nod to the 70's era of Genesis.

6.Mitchell and Webb - Lactose Intolerant [That Mitchell & Webb Sound - Series 2]
Ooh, a comedy bit. Apparently you cannot get a banana milkshake by milking monkeys...

7.Ruth Brown - (Mama) He Treats Your Daughter Mean [The Best Of Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour]
Underrated blues singer. Remember her fondly as host of NPR's BluesStage back in the early 90's.

8.The Black Crowes - Let It Bleed (Live) [The Black Crowes @ The Ford Amphitheatre, Tampa FL 7/7/06]
Too bad the piano is mixed too low in the mix; it would have helped this rather pedestrian cover of the Stone's classic.

9.Bay City Rollers - Keep on Dancing [Once Upon a Star (Bonus Tracks)]
    70's pop. A guilty pleasure.

10.Keith Moon & Ringo Starr - I'm Not Angry [Two Sides of the Moon Deluxe Edition]
Quite possibly my favorite track of these 10. Another!?! cover; this time by the Everly Brothers. Cheeky!

All in all not a bad overview of my collection hitting a couple soft spots (blues / comedy / live music / cover songs / guilty pleasures).

I never ever listen in any kind of random mode. Either I chose an album or I cherrypick individual songs. I guess this is why I never have been a music on the radio listener - always makes me want to skip to the next song

When at work, I listen to Pandora. I have selected 45 or so different "stations" of individual artists/bands, all types of genres represented. I listen in "shuffle" mode, which leads to some (to me) interesting segues. So far today I have heard:

Todd Rundgren - Hello It's Me: the version from "Todd Live", an album which I don't believe I own. Nicely played by a good band.
Robin Trower - Captain Midnight: from the "Further Down The Road" box set. I need to delve deeper into this phase of RT's career.
Steely Dan - Deacon Blues: I've always liked this song. I know some don't like "Aja", but it's one of my favorites by SD.
Procol Harum - Skip Softly (My Moonbeams): Just about all early Procol is good Procol. Tremendous band.
Chris Rea - Monday Morning: Odd that this one came up today. I was just listening to this CD (Blue Jukebox) earlier this week in my car.
Hall & Oates - I Can't Go For That: Love these guys for the pure pop kings they are. Another case of having played the "Essential" CD earlier this week.
Crosby, Stills & Nash - You Don't Have To Cry: Been hooked on these guys since I heard "Judy Blue Eyes" as a kid. Unsurpassed harmonies.
77's - Time Is Slipping Away: Great track from their first album (Ping Pong Over The Abyss). A great, great band unheard by many.
Chicago - You're The Inspiration (alternate version): From the huge box set. While I agree that things went downhill after T. Kath left us, I still like it.
Lyle Lovett - Cryin' Shame: One reason I still keep a minimal interest in "Country" music. Lyle is the master of sardonically witty lyrics and great tunes.

That's the first 10 for now. Thanks for this idea, OP. Very interesting reading all the posts.

I've got the 'random' on every morning for wifey and me...
So, let's see what's up for tomorrow:
"Time Is Tight"- Booker T & The MG's
    "Rio"- Duran Duran
"Piensa En Mi"- Luz Casal (from the "High Heels" Soundtrack)
"Walk Away"- The Sisters Of Mercy
    "One Way Or Another"- Blondie
    "Duel"- Propaganda
    "Get Back"- Laibach
    "Diva"- Jean-Micheal Jarre
    "Rockin' Me"- Steve Miller Band
    "Synchronicity I"- The Police
    "Discipline"- King Crimson
I doubt any radio station or 'streaming service' would make such playlist!

    Next 10:
Todd Rundgren - A Long Time And A Long Way To Go: "The Ballad of Todd Rundgren" is one of my favorite TR albums. One of Todd's best melodies.
David Crowder*Band - Do Not Move: In my book, the best CCM artist recording today.
Allman Brothers Band - Must Have Done Somebody Wrong: Anything from Fillmore East is to be treasured.
AC/DC - Sin City: Everyone needs a little AC/DC every once in a while.
Crowder - This I Know: Nice contrast to what preceded. This is why I love shuffle mode.
"Hamilton" Original Cast - Burn: I listen to very little Broadway stuff, but I love every bit of this.
Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes - I Miss You: 81/2 minutes of pure soul angst. Teddy Pendergrass was never better.
Robin Trower - Sweet Angel: Yes, things weren't quite the same after Dewar left, but RT is always a great listen.
Toto - Make Believe: Track from "IV" which could have been a hit but was never released as one. Man, these guys can play.
ABBA - Take A Chance On Me: Guilty pleasure? Not really. I love this group and will stand by anything by them that comes up on my shuffle.
