I have with me a movie soundtrack "Round midnight" mastered by Wally Traugott and it sounds fabulous. Warm and smooth through out. Anyone compiled a list of CDs that hes done?

Realize that most of these are probably just reprinted from the original LP credits. I am unaware of ANY Wally-mastered CD's, although I could be wrong.

Well, I did some Google search and found this:

Wally Traugott got credits for "Digital Remastering" on the Barry Manilow comp "Complete Collection and Then Some..."

... and a "Digital Mastering" credit for Bob Neuwirth's "99 Monkeys"

... and a "Digital Mastering" credit for the sampler "On the Cutting Edge"

and last but not least a "Digital Mastering" credit for Lee Ritenour's CD "Festival".

So Wally Traugott sure knows how to deal with a digital mastering machine ;)

    Greatest Hits Just Another Compilation

I don't know if Bob Segar's Greatest Hits was put out on vinyl or not... but the CD only lists Wally as the mastering engineer.

Since this was a compilation concieved mainly for the (then) new and growing CD market, I'm convinced that Wally did master the CD.

Add Juice Newton's "Greatest Hits (And More)" to the list of Wally CDs.

Capitol was probably the first label to include extra tracks on their previously released "Greatest Hits" CDs compilations. They even had a custom logo, "CD Extra Traxx Pax".

I posted a couple of Wally's CDs in the wrong thread awhile back.

I opened up a 1997 CD, EARTH by The Bob Florence Limited Edition, a jazz big band, and it says Mastered by Wally Traugott at Tower Mastering.

I can confirm the Elixir Fourplay album 1996 Warner Brothers. It says
"Mastered by Wally Traugott at Capitol Disk Mastering".

Now the only question is who is wearing the odd shoes in the CD photo.

Today I bought a used CD of Bob Seger's "Nine Tonight"(Remastered).
    Thought it sounded pretty good.
Checked who did the remastering and it said Wally Traugott.
I see that he has passed on unfortunately.
    CD sounds good.
