She has flawless technique and a clean, full piano sound. Maybe similar to Schiff. I really like the Schoenberg disc. Just for contrast I ordered Gould's Schoenberg set.
I bought this 24bit/96k remastered FLAC recording--it sounds surprisingly good considering it was recorded in the 1960s.
First listen to CD 8 from "Annie Fischer - The Complete Piano Sonatas Of Ludwig Van Beethoven" on Hungarton. Sonatas 5, 21 "Waldstein" & 4
I am actually somewhat neutral toward her these days. I do not have this CD but do have the SACD version of the following recording ...
As with Glenn Gould, I still do not know what to make of her Beethoven. I also have her Chopin Nocturnes ...
You may have to take a winter vacation to check out how you can cope with the much colder winter there ...
NICCOLO' PAGANINI - Violin Concertos no. 1 / 4 Alexandre Dubach vl. Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo/Michel Sasson reissued by Brilliant:
Quite possible they are 78s although that album leaf style of box set (see the one on the top of the right stack) was also used on early LP sets up to the mid 50s. I have a Budapest QT Mono LP set of the Beethoven Qts. which has album sleeves connected to the spine. FWIW Kay Stewart was 36 and Ursula was 19 although they look older in that photo. I think Kay mostly had a TV career. I'm curious how she ended up at the dinner party and who took the photos.
