Wow, nice haul! I miss Hastings for $2.00 used classical vinyl. There are a lot of stores in the Dallas area, about a 2 hour drive, but I've heard their prices are very high.

When I get around it, I will make a short video of my recent 'loot'. Seriously, they have a great selection. One of the owners told me he added between 5-6 thousand LPs to what was already there. So much fun to go through them, even though it involves dealing with all the dust. Yesterday there were only 2-3 gentlemen in my section, the rock and pop was as always 'sardined'. Hahaha. This morning my husband and I will go for a bike ride and stop by toget a few more, but since we are just bringing the backpacks and not the car....we will be a bit more limited as to how many we can carry. My husband also found a few gems amidst a lot of filler/ garbage LPs in the rock/pop section. Actually a couple original first pressings from the UK, Germany that somehow got lost or misplaced there, as they are quite valuable .

I do tend to favor Mass in b over the passions when it comes to the Bach choral works since it is a bit shorter ...

I must admit, I have no clue as to what is considered a good version of Missa solemnis since Beethoven really did not compose many choral works. I am not that familiar with Fidelio either ...
