Gieseking plays Mozart piano concertos under Hans Rosbaud • Columbia-EMI 33CX 1235, 1950s?

I love this bit from the liner notes:

We often complain nowadays of the speed of living; certainly in no previous age have external affairs flowed by at such a rate. But I often feel that Mozart’s inner creative life must have gone on at a tempo which we cannot readily comprehend even in these times.

Hahaha....that's too funny. But to make me dance you got to play either some good old Disco music or the UK dance/trance such as Hed Kandi or DT8 Project.

Speaking of conductor Roberto Benzi —

A friend sent me this photo some time ago: it shows Roberto Benzi (on the left) and sound engineer Benjamin Bernfeld (on the right), my friend's father, in Romania's Electrecord recording studios in Bucharest, circa 1966. That's a vintage Studer two-track tape recorder in the background and the mixing desk is EMI.

    Mozart: Piano concertos 19 and 26 1966/7 late 80's cd DG 'Privilege' 427 209-2
Camerata Academica des Salzburger Mozarteums with Géza Anda on piano
Some copies have the 'Resonance' series name for some reason or other but the lyricism of Anda's playing shows though well in these recordings

    Brahms Symphonies • Karajan • DG 4LP box, 1970

By the way, @DeepFloyd11, there’s a LP reissue of the box set, came out last month. The price is pretty steep, though, for 4 LPs. But not as much as the Rattle LP box, heh.

This is one of my favorite Glenn Gould albums, featuring 20th century Canadian composers that are often overlooked. Gould recorded this in 1967 as a tribute to Canada's upcoming Centennial. In the liner notes, Gould gives a short biography of the composers and his reasons for selecting these works for the LP. His enthusiasm is infectious. The recorded piano sound is excellent.
