    J. S. Bach...?: Violin Sonata in C minor, BWV 1024; Flute Sonata in G major, BWV 1038
a collection of works of doubtful attribution to Bach or by others (S.L. Weiss) but transcribed by Bach

We had a bit of 'car talk' a few weeks back, with the whole Inspector Morse thing and that nice (although red) Jaguar he drove (it needed to be British Racing Green to be perfect in my opinion).

Another famous car that appears in movies or shows and that I love is Aston Martin.
If I were very wealthy or won the lottery ( I should start playing)....that's certainly one I would love to own - just like this one and the house in the back included.

As for something a little less extravagant and a bit more affordable it would be this BMW series 4 coupe.

I also like the VW Passat very much, drove it in Europe when on vacation there.....very comfortable and fuel efficient.

    How about you?

My understanding is folks who are well off (by Mexican standard) get to live in palatial home with servants and maids, what not to like?

I read about Henryk Szeryng lived in Mexico in the latter part of his life.

BMW series 4 coupe? Did you mean series 3 coupe? There is no BMW model number that starts with a 4 in the US ...

I prefer BMW X series as they are all built in the US. My Honda was built in Canada.

A great example of American Modernism here, very well played and recorded--

As a rabid Maria Callas' fan, how do you like the following recording?

Brahms: Violin Concerto and concerto for Violin and Cello in A Minor 1982/3 1993 DG "Karajan Gold" 439007-2
Berlin Philharmonic cond. Herbert von Karajan A-S Mutter on Violin and Antonio Meneses on Cello
The 1993 OBI remaster of the early digital recordings that sound scratchy on my then Sony CD Player that I got rid of it two decades ago (that player was harsh!) but this sound much better now bettering the original from The Great Violin Concertos box so is being folded in that set for the S_M edition and gain an extra work.

    Mendelssohn & Bruch Violin Concertos (r)1981 2001 DG "The Originals" 463 461-2
Berlin P.O. cond. Herbert von Karajan with Anne-Sophie Mutter
Okay it's Milstein with me usually for the Mendelssohn but this is pretty good and the Original Image Bit Processing thing helps so this is going in my redone Great Violin Concertos box.
    Nothing like an upgrade,eh?

Thanks for letting me know--Mosaiques are easily one of my favorite quartets. These are actually up on Spotify now.
