Thanks for the link. I did not know there was such a serious connection between Henryk Szeryng and Arthur Rubinstein, your fave pianist. Henryk Szeryng was the second violinist I got familiar with after Yehudi Menuhin and the following CD is one of my all-time favorites. I have a good number of his recordings on both LP and CD ...
All is not well in the Mozart 225 world. I just ripped discs 71-73, Dances, Marches, Minuets, etc., and while it seems they went back and made cleaner transfers of key performances from the old Philips set, these three discs are exactly the same, down the metadata, even! Am I being too picky? It seems they fudged it a little. Then again, who the hell listens to these dances anyway? (well, I like some of the later dances for their complexity.) There was also one disc that was brought over wholecloth from the Pinnock CD...oh yes, disc 59: symphonies 38 & 39. I don't mind that as much, since the recording is wonderful. Moreover, alternate classic performances for both symphonies are provided on other discs. Ripping Mozart and listening to Prince. Gotta love it!
First listen to CD 12 from "The Choir Of St. John's College Cambridge - The Complete Argo Recordings" directed by George Guest on Decca. "Haydn - Harmoniemesse" with The Academy Of St Martin-in-the-Fields, featuring Ema Spoorenberg, Helen Watts, Joseph Rouleau and Alexander Young

Now listening to CD 6 from "Bach - The Organ Works" performed by Helmut Walcha on Archiv. Prelude & Fugue BWV 535 Fugue BWV 578 Pastorale BWV 590 Canzona BWV 588 Allabreve BWV 589 Four Duettos BWV 802-805 Contrapunctus 18 in D minor

CD #49 from the Mozart 225 The New Complete Edition. After owning the set for 15 months I've finally reached the end of the Chamber Music set. Only 3 more sets and 151 discs to go. Horn Quintet in E flat major K407 Piano Quartet in G minor K478 Divertimento in D major K334
Thursday concerts... Mozart, W.A. Horn Concertos. A.S.M.F. cond Neville Marriner with Alan Civil blowin'. 1971/2003 PentaTone 105 stereo/quadraphonic sacd One for the Mozart on sacd sub section as nearly all the regular cds are related to Mozart Masterpieces circa 1990 on DG, this is one I had heard of but not owned before and actually is pretty swell just lacking really deep bass but otherwise sounding extremely good and the playing is very impressive.
