Can't tell what you were listening to as your image is broken. Putting the title as text in you post helps in case that happens (for eaxample, if the site or server hosting the image URL you've pasted goes down, then your image will no longer show).
Thad Jones was magnificent and Elvin and Etta have now welcomed their new shelf mate. Next up, Music Matters' Lee Morgan - Search for the New Land. This one seems to have been getting a lot of play around here recently, now it's finally my turn.
I can't understamd why that happens. I grabbed theimages from Google images. Playlist: Ralph Towner- My foolosh Heart Ray Bryant trio (XRCD) Miles- Bag's Groove ( XRCD- sounding good right now) Pat Metheny - Watercolors Mathias Eick - Midwest Sorry for the tecnical problems
Looks like you're pasting in the URL of the google search page where you were looking at the different images of the album covers as opposed to one of the individual image URLs. Here is the link that you put in for the first image of Ralph Towner's My Foolish Heart: ralph towner my foolish heart - Google Search : If you open that link it is a page of Google Search results containing all the different images. What you'd need to do to insert the actual image is right click (or CTL-click if you're on a Mac) on one of the images and choose "Copy link address" from the contextual menu that pops up, then paste in that URL.
Never heard that one yet, but it's in the box of Music Matter lps I just got yesterday so I'll get to it sometime this week. BTW, after you posted the Brad Mehldau Blues and Ballads yesterday, I streamed most of it and have come to the conclusion that I have to get back on the ball filling in the gaps in my Mehldau collection.
LOL, opens a page full of images for Mathias Eick's Midwest. If you choose an image, then click on it so it focuses on that image, then do the right-click (ctl-click) thing (slightly different if your on a device like a tablet/phone). Before you post the URL into the box on the forum, try pasting it into a new tab in your browser, it should bring up a page just of the image.
Have time for one another track or two from the new Music Matters box before the family returns: Hank Mobley
As far as Blue Notes go There are many different runs by 2 different companies: - the "King" reissues are overall known to be the better of them... - then "Toshiba/EMI" BUT: - DBLP series are expensive but among the best reissues you can buy of any make...IMHO these were mastered by Bernie Grundman then pressed at Quality Record, 200 gram DG mono monsters, then sold only in Japan...
Billy Harper - Love On The Sudan (Denon) From 1977, I'm not sure this falls under spiritual jazz but if not, it's close.
Bartz-Henderson-Conners - Dance Of Magic Live Nemu Jazz Inn 19July75. That would be Gary, Eddie and Norman....plus Reggie Workman and Elmer Gibson on bass and piano respectively.
What is DBLP and how can you identify it on the lp? Are all Japanese blue note reissues with Toshiba/EMI on the back cover the same in terms of sound quality?
